TTU Undergraduate Research Conference was organized by the TTU/HHMI Scholar Service Organization in 1997 in order to give undergraduates an opportunity to present their research to the TTU and area communities. The three day event is held every spring semester. On Thursday, students have an opportunity to present their posters to each other and listen to visiting alumni give oral presentations about their graduate research and careers in science. Poster presentation sessions are held Friday afternoon and attended by university faculty, undergraduate and graduate students. Constructive evaluations of student poster presentations are provided by undergraduate and graduate students and faculty mentors. The Richard L. Blanton Endowed Scholarship for Undergraduate Research and the Susan G. Talkmitt Science Motivator Award are presented at the banquet on Thursday evening.
